Step 1 — Check Clearances Before Measuring

A — Flat trim surface: min ¾" | B — Trim / brickmould depth: min 1" | C — Door jamb depth: min 2½"

⚠️ If any clearance is insufficient, a storm door cannot be installed at this location.

Step 2 — Record Measurements

Measure width at top (W1), middle (W2), bottom (W3). Record the shortest number.

Measure from sill to underside of brickmould at the top.

Space from outside face of entry door to inside face of storm door. Must be sufficient to prevent handle conflict.
